A man, Named Dan Andersen has committed suicide after his pitbull was seized and euthanized by local authorities
Pitbulls are one of the breeds that have been banned in Denmark, as it is left to the dog owner to prove these banned dogs. Seemingly, Dan was unable to do so which leads to the euthanizing of his dear dog.
After his dog was taken, Dan overdosed himself on pain medications which reportedly killed him.
According to Pravda.ru,
The decision to euthanize the dog was made in accordance with Denmark's Breed Specific Legislation on Pit Bulls. Danish legislation titled the "Dog Act" also dictates that police are required to euthanize dogs that "savage" a person or another dog. Even though Zanto hadn't attacked anyone, he was simply considered an illegal breed.
Funeral service for Dan will take place Today, 29th April in Denmark, says his friend.
