Have you ever seen a dog with tied legs? I bet the owner would tell you he is trying to prevent his dog from stretching to so as not to abort her pregnancy.
Many people practice this and think their dog only makes it when she gets 'leg-tied'. This indeed is a 'myth' or shall we say "Old wives tale".
There has been no scientific proof that stretching aborts pregnancy, whether in dogs or human. My dogs stretch all the time when they are pregnant and never lost a pregnancy.
My advice: If your dog has to stretch, let her stretch. They do it alot in the wild with noone to tie their legs and they whelp successfully. If you think your dog is having miscarriage repeatedly, contact your Vet.
