Woman Gets Attacked By Dog: Police Say "No Offence Was Committed"

Yet again A 51years Old woman, Linda McCall has been attacked by a Staffordshire Bull Terrier while she was walking her Irish Wolfhound through a market on saturday.

The victim suffered several bites on her hands, throat and laps. Her dog, Cindy nearly got her throat ripped out in the attack.

According to echo-News

police have washed their hands of the incident, saying as both were on leads and neither was a prohibited breed they could do nothing.

Perhaps the officers should take a look at the Dangerous Dogs Act (1991), which clearly states a dog is “dangerously out of control if it injuries any person or there are grounds for reasonable apprehension it will do so”. It goes on: “If the dog is dangerously out of control then the owner and (if different) the person for the time being in charge of the dog, is guilty of an offence”.

Like I always say, training your dog is paramount. It's not just enough to own a dog. If we continue to allow dogs create fear in people, we would creating a bad image for our dear pets.

Allegedly, the owners of the Staffie did nothing to help the victim throughout the incident. I imagine the matter was out of their control as they couldn't even control their own dogs.

Let's avoid these dog attacks. Let's ensure our dogs are trained.
